Lighthouse Bay Residents supported a magnificent Lights The Way charitable event to raise 44K for four organizations in SW Florida- Florida Lions Eyes Clinic, Kids Mind Matter, New Horizons and PACE Center for Girls. The initial event launched over ten years ago, and this year’s event did not disappoint, surpassing the pace from previous years. The 2024 effort launched in early February with a bake sale and craft items marketplace, followed by a two day event in March. This year on a pristine day, organized community groups with sports and game events kicked in to gear, plus a flurry of activity at the clubhouse with bidders and buyers on silent auction items and beautiful baskets, waiting patiently for the final hour when winning tickets were pulled. To close the event, residents and friends celebrated to enjoy a dinner with a relaxing vocalist for entertainment. We are beyond grateful and applaud the generosity of our local merchants and sponsors for donations to make this event so successful.
Hundreds of Lighthouse Bay Community Residents served by generously volunteering their time, energy, expertise, and financial support to organize activities.We are beyond fortunate to have resident that are artists, basket creators, prize solicitors, ticket sellers, cooks, lunch and dinner servers, dessert bakers and supply purchasers. The Lighthouse Bay Charitable Foundation Board, our office and maintenance staff have such giving and serving hearts. All this talent living in Lighthouse Bay met and volunteered to foster strong social connections, all for worthy charitable contributions. A sincere thank you to our resident volunteers and staff.
